An Interesting Take on a Classic Cocktail

One of our favorite local bartenders threw us a curveball the other day. We love it when that happens. Most of the time it’s amazing stuff, but this time it was so extraordinary that we had to go public with it. For a late-night drink to enjoy by the fire, follow these instructions.

You’ll need...
1oz Eagle Rare Bourbon
1oz Zacapa Rum
3 dashes Angostura bitters
2 Luxardo cherries
1 orange peel (garnish)
Instructions...
Combine rum, bourbon, and bitters in a rocks glass over an ice ball and stir until chilled. Add two Luxardo cherries, rub the rim of the glass with the orange peel, and drop it in. Enjoy!

Tip: If you like your cocktails a little sweeter, add a brown sugar cube to the rum and bourbon before your stir. Sweet heavens!
